Apple releases iTunes 7.1 and QuickTime 7.1.5

Apple delivered the new version of the iTunes media software with a new version of QuickTime.

Oracle to buy Hyperion for $3 billion

Oracle has agreed to buy Hyperion Solutions for $3.3 billion in cash.

Hyperion's products include financial planning tools and the online analytical processing (OLAP) engine.
